President urges North Koreans to invest in B’desh

President Abdul Hamid on Tuesday urged the investors of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to invest in Bangladesh in various sectors.The President made the request while newly appointed ambassador of DPRK to Bangladesh Ri Song Hyon presented his credentials to the President at Bangabhaban.
“At present an excellent environment for investment is prevailing in the country,” said the President.
The President also said that the North Korean entrepreneurs could import world standard pharmaceuticals, ceramics, leather and leather goods, jute and jute goods and RMG considering high quality but in competitive price.
Welcoming the envoy, the President said that an excellent relations is prevailing between the two countries.
The President thanked the government of North Korea for their assistance in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh.
Ri Song Hyon hoped that the relations between the two countries will gradually be strengthened and he would put highest endeavor in this regard.
On arrival of the ambassador at Bangabhaban a smartly turned out contingent of President’s Guard Regiment gave him a guard of honour.
