Dhaka-The Supreme Court will ask the Election Commission not to allocate ‘Scale’ as election symbol to any political party.The decision was taken at the full court meeting of the Supreme Court in the presence of Chief Justice SK Sinha and the judges of the High Court division on Monday, said HC division’s additional registrar (law and admin) Sabbir Foyez while talking to reporters on Tuesday.
The decision came as the Supreme Court has long been using ‘Scale’ in its monogram as the symbol of justice, he said, adding that a letter will be sent to the EC on Wednesday requesting it not to allocate ‘Scale’ as the election symbol to any political party.
