Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Wednesday left Dhaka for New Delhi on a three-day visit to India.
She will visit to India at the invitation of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar.During the visit, the Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament will call on with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, says a press release issued by Parliament Secretariat.
Chaudhury will also meet with Loksabha Speaker Meira Kumar, opposition leader in Loksabha Sushma Swaraj and opposition leader in Rajjayasabha Arun Jaitley separately.
She will also visit Parliament House and sessions of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Speaker is expected to return home on February 15, said the release. – Staff Reporter
