Swedish dev coop minister arrives Monday

Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation Isabella Lövin arrives here on Monday on a three-day visit, aiming to deepen bilateral ties.
She will lead a six-member delegation and meet State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam on Monday afternoon, said an official here on Sunday.This is going to be her first foreign tour after the formation of new government in Sweden on October 4 led by Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven that indicates Swedish government’s importance to Bangladesh.
Isabella Lövin has already met Bangladesh Ambassador to Sweden M Golam Sarwar recently and assured that her country would remain beside Bangladesh to help face global warming.
She hoped that the visit would help both the countries work more closely in the coming days, said an official at the Bangladesh Embassy in Sweden on Saturday.
Meanwhile, another seven-member delegation, including four Swedish MPs, will visit Bangladesh from November 25 to 29 to see UN-supported various development projects. – UNB
