Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged arms trader with two firearms and ammunitions from Puthiya upazila headquarters in the district last night, RAB said.
The arrested were identified as Khorshed Alam, 32, Kamal, 30, and Sohel Rana, 18. They are residents of different areas of the district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid in the area around 8.30 pm and arrested them with two foreign (USA) pistols, four rounds of bullets and three magazines from their possessions.
A case was recorded with the police station concerned and the seized firearms and ammunitions were handed over to the police, the sources said. –BSS, Rajshahi
