Two suspected criminals found dead in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, Dec 7 – Police recovered the bodies of two suspected criminals, including a drug trader, from Gobindahuda village in Damurhuda Upazila on Thursday night. The deceased were identified as Jhantu, 40, son of Abul Kashem, an alleged drug trader and Dhulo, 43, son of Shamser Ali of the Upazila.
Jhantu was a listed criminal and wanted in 11 cases, including that of a drug, while Dhulo was an outlaw leader.
Tipped off that two gangs of criminals were exchanging bullets in the area, a team of police went to the spot, said Sukumar Biswas, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Police Station.
At one stage, police recovered the bodies of Jhantu and Dhulo and sent those to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
One LG, two bullets, six hand bombs and three sacks of Phensidyls were recovered from the spot.
Both are suspected to have been killed in a gunfight between two groups of criminals over controlling the drug business and previous enmity. – UNB
