Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an alleged female drug peddler in possession of 62 kilograms of hemp from Sakopara area in Poba upazila early Thursday.The arrestee was identified as Gulbanu,55, wife of late Kamor Ali of the village.Assistant superintendent of police Reznur Rahman Reza of Rab-5 said on a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid on the house of Golam Mostafa, son of Gulbanu, in the area and arrested Gulbanu at about 12:30 am while Mostafa managed to flee the scene.The force also recovered 62 kilograms of hemp after searching the house.Gulbanu and her son Mostafa are wanted in a case for drug peddling, the ASP added.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Rajshahi
