Xulhaz murder report deferred to Sept 3

Dhaka, July 24 – A court of Dhaka on Tuesday deferred the submission of investigation reports in Xulhaz Mannan and Mahbub Tanoy murder case and another report about the same murder under the Arms Act to September 3. On Tuesday, the court fixed the new date for submission of the investigation reports in two cases, but as the investigation officers could not submit the reports yesterday (Tuesday), Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akter passed the last orders.
Of the two cases, Police Counter Terrorism Unit Inspector Md Tajul Islam has been investigating the murder case while Police Inspector Sentu Mia of the same unit investigates the Arms case.

Xulhaz was the Protocol Officer of former US ambassador Dan W Mozena. Xulhaz’s brother Minhaz Mannan Emon filed the murder case with Kalabagan Police Station while SI Mohammad Shamim of the same police station lodged the Arms case with the police station. – Special Correspondent
