Ziauddin’s contempt rule settled

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 disposed of its rule brought against Ahmed Ziauddin, a Bangladeshi legal expert in Belgium.A three-member ICT-2 led by Justice Obaidul Hasan passed the order Sunday after conducting the hearing.
On May 13, Ahmed Ziauddin replied to the show-cause notice issued against him over the much-talked about Skype scam.
Earlier on January 3, the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 asked the expatriate legal expert to explain why legal proceedings should not be taken against him on charge of obstructing fair process of war crimes trial.
On December 11 in 2012, ICT-1 Justice Nizamul Huq resigned following a controversy over the leak of his Skype conversation with lawyer Ahmed Ziauddin. (Source: UNB)
