Jamaat calls hartal for Sunday

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called daylong nationwide hartal for Sunday protesting International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) verdict against Mohammad Kamaruzzaman, who was awarded death penalty for war crimes. The decision of enforcement hartal came from a release of the party on Thursday evening.
Earlier in the day, Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Kamaruzzaman was sentenced to death for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
ICT-2 led-by Obaidul Hasan passed the verdict.
On the other hand, as per order of Hefajat-e-Islam Ameer Allama Shah Ahmed Shafi, the party called postponed hartal slated for Sunday. Banglanews24.com
