Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will appeal against verdict of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 that awarded death sentence to Kamaruzzaman. Assistant Secretary General of the party Barrister Abdur Razzak made the disclosure while talking to journalists in an instant reaction at his Dhanmondi residence in the city on Thursday afternoon after the verdict.
He said, “We will appeal against the verdict with the strong team.”
Earlier in the day, Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Muhammad Kamaruzzaman was sentenced to death for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
