JCD leaders on remand (23-6)

Dhaka-A Dhaka court on Thursday placed five JCD leaders and activists, including Titumir College unit Chhatra Dal (JCD) President, on six days’ remand in two cases filed under the Special Powers Act and the Explosive Substances Act.Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nabi granted the remand after hearing on the remand plea of police. The police produced them to the court with a seven-day remand plea in each case.
The accused Chhatradal leaders and activists are- Titumir College JCD President Taslim Hasan Masum, General Secretary Aminul Haque Himel, Senior Vice President Nure Alam Russel, members Masud Rana and Saiful.
On Wednesday, police detained the five when they were allegedly taking preparations to create violence. -Court Correspondent
