Newly elected men to take oath of MPs on Dec 3

Dhaka, Jan -1- Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu has said that the oaths of the newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) will take on January 3.“Before taking oaths, gazette notification of the MPs-elect would be issued tomorrow (Monday) and it means the grand alliance is going to form the government further under the Sheikh Hasina further,” he told the reporters at a function of ‘meet the press’ of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) in the secretariat yesterday.
When the cabinet would be formed, the information minister replied, “I can’t when the cabinet would be formed as it is the matter of the Prime Minister.”
Which party would become the opposition in the 11th parliament, the information minister said that the Jatiya Party (JP) has obtained the second position by securing 20 seats and they deserve it.
“If the Prime Minister will invite the supreme of the JP to join her cabinet and they (JP) will be joining the cabinet if they are accepted. If they are not, they will form the opposition with consultation with the other like-minded party of them,” he said.
How many new faces would join the new cabinet, Inu replied that it is the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister.
