Dhaka, Mar 26 – Rahman Jahangir, the editorial consultant of the Financial Express, passed away early Monday. He was 68.
Jahangir, the founding news editor of The Daily Independent and former joint news editor of The Daily Star, breathed his last at a city hospital around 5 am. His namaj-e-janaza will be held at 1:30 pm at the National Press Club premises. He was a permanent member of the National Press Club.
Rahman Jahangir is survived by his wife, three children, and a host of relatives, friends and admirers.
