A court here on Monday sentenced a young man to six months’ imprisonment for
sexually harassing a schoolgirl in the city’s Nirala area.
The convict was identified as Nure Alam Rabbi, 19, son of Nasir Uddin, a resident of the
area.
Sub-inspector Anukul Chandra Ghose said Rabbi often used to indecently tease a
schoolgirl on her way to and from school.
On Monday morning, he made a similar obscene gesture to her on her way back home
from school.
Hearing the screams of the girl, locals caught Bappi red-handed.
Later, he was produced before a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Mushfikur
Rahman who handed down the verdict. -UNB, Khulna
